Friday Sept 7th: From a 17th century coaching inn, to award winning four-star lakeshore hotels, the extensive kitchens at Lake District Hotels Ltd. are all under the management of Executive Head Chef, Mark Harris and his seven Head Chefs, who cater for over 1,000 covers daily and look after over 45 chefs. Mark is an extremely professional and accomplished chef who has come from a Michelin Star background. His food appeals to a wide selection of people; it has classical simplicity and is beautifully cooked, which has been reflected in the feedback received on a daily basis from guests.
Outside of work, Mark can be found cycling and training for triathlons. His love of the outdoors and the Lakes was one of the attractions for the Executive Head Chef position at Lake District Hotels. Mark says, “The location and the fact that the hotel group is family-run really appealed to me. The staff and management here are charming and the standard of hospitality is outstanding”.
