Sunday Sept 9th:
After completing his cookery qualifications at catering college, Ben set out to learn his trade in some of the Country’s top Kitchens, including the Windows restaurant at the London Hilton and Midsummer House, the acclaimed 2 Michelin star restaurant in Cambridge.
It was at the Holbeck Ghyll Hotel, that he developed his passion for all things Cumbrian, and in 2013 he took up the position as Head Chef at the Rampsbeck Hotel. His menus are largely influenced by the Cumbrian landscape, though he works with world class ingredients from our northern neighbours and further afield.
Ben has recently joined The Cottage in the Wood as Chef Director, where he continues to produce appealing and creative menus inspired by the Cumbrian ‘terroir’.
